Meet Our Team

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the lord, not for human masters."

Colossians 3:23

david frost

Pastor
dfrost@scpcva.org
David is pastor and head of staff and has served Swift Creek since August 2018. He is passionate about the transformation God’s grace has on those who commit their lives to Christ. Preaching from God’s word each Sunday brings him great joy, as do the one-on-one conversations with guests and members throughout the week.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary.  Having lived in Chesterfield County since 2007, David considers the Richmond area his home. He and his wife Nicole have two children, Ethan and Grace. A miniature poodle named Scarlett rounds out their family. In his spare time, David enjoys sailing, baseball, and seeing new places.

Wendy Hicks

Kidmin & Engagement Director
whicks@scpcva.org
Wendy Hicks brings innovation and energy with the love she displays as Kidmin & Engagement Director. As an official “Chesterfieldonian”, she draws on her career experience in business and retail to carefully nurture and challenge. For those of you who shopped at Ukrop’s, where she worked her way up to management, you’ll quickly see the same values not only displayed by Wendy but invested in the children. She’s a go-to and get-it-done valued member of our staff, who joined our leadership team September 2010.  A graduate of Liberty University (2014), she has a husband (John, who serves in our audio/visual area) and son (Matthew, always willing to help) and a dog named Sundae (a rescue).  Wendy volunteers with Mercy Mall and enjoys an evening around the campfire and going to yard sales in the never ending pursuit of a good deal.

Ben Swicegood

Youth Director
bswicegood@scpcva.org
Ben has worked in ministry since 2005 in many capacities.  He is creative, enthusiastic, and engaging, but most importantly, he has a deep love for Jesus and a clear calling to raise up the next generation as strong disciples of Christ.  He joined Swift Creek in early 2024 as Youth Director for middle and high school students.  As Ben faced trials earlier in his life, he was headed down the wrong path, until he received a wakeup call while dealing with the consequences from his past decisions.  Soon after his wakeup call, Ben gave his life to the Lord and has been serving Him ever since.  Feel free to ask Ben about his story, as he loves sharing his testimony of how God redeemed him!
